www.passwordchart.com

Why should I use this?

  1. Picking and remembering strong passwords is a pain. It's easier to convert an easy to remember one.
  2. It works anywhere on any computer. It also works offline if you print out the chart.
  3. Its free, easy and secure. Everything is done in your browser -- no passwords are sent over the Internet.

Password Chart is an online application to help you create really really strong passwords. These are the sort of passwords your average policeman would have trouble deciphering in a 40 year career. The neat thing is the printable chart for decoding your word or phrase, just don’t lose the chart or its identity number.

There is no magic snake oil here, its a simple substitution cipher. Here is how the algorithm works: 1. An MD5 hash of the chart selection phrase is performed and the first 4 bytes of the hash is used as a random number seed to a Mersenne Twister pseudo-random number generator. 2. The password chart is then filled using sequences of 1 to 3 random upper and lower case letters and optionally numbers and punctuation by grabbing successive numbers generated from the Twister. The reason for the random sequence length is to make reversing the substitution cipher a bit harder. 3. The alphanumeric characters in the password is then converted using the chart.

Nadal Wins Epic Wimbledon Final

Rafael Nadal held off an incredible fightback from Roger Federer to win his first Wimbledon title and end the Swiss star's reign at the All England Club.

The Spaniard missed two championship points in the fourth set but recovered to win a dramatic rain-interrupted match 6-4 6-4 6-7 (3-7) 6-7 (8-10) 9-7.

The final shot was struck in near darkness on Centre Court at 2115 BST.

Nadal, 22, is the the first man since Bjorn Borg in 1980 to win the French Open and Wimbledon back to back.

Federer, 26, had been trying to become only the second man to win six consecutive Wimbledon titles, and so surpass Borg to match Willie Renshaw, who played in the 1880s.

The defeat brought to an end his unbeaten run of 65 matches on grass, and arguably his reign as the undisputed king of tennis.

On sealing victory, a tearful Nadal climbed through the stands to celebrate with his family and supporters before heading to the royal box to speak to members of the Spanish royal family.

Federer, meanwhile, suffered the unpleasant experience of watching, dejected, from his chair as he came to terms with finishing runner-up for the first time.

US 'pregnant man' has baby girl

An American man who was born female but subsequently underwent gender reassignment has given birth to a girl, US media have reported.

Thomas Beatie, 34, is legally male but kept his female reproductive organs after having breast surgery to remove glands and flatten his chest.

Both Mr Beatie and his daughter are reported to be doing well in a hospital in Bend, Oregon.

He was inseminated using sperm from an anonymous donor.

The birth was natural, a source at St Charles Medical Center in Bend told ABC News, and took place on Sunday.
